Back to Basics

So I've been having a tough time with motivation. I don't have writers block (it's not something I really...believe in?) but I'm noticing lately, that I'm doing less writing and making more excuses.

I'm not sure if its stress (it's Summer Reading time which is like the black friday for libraries), or the stress of interviewing and not getting the jobs I've been applying for (was looking into school library work rather than the public library world), or if its because I just got back from vacation. Whatever the reason, I''m in a slump.

I really want to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo in July, but at this rate...I'm just not motivated.

So I'm going back to basics. Goals this month are gonna be easy ones:

*Clean my office

*Update my writing progress board

*Finish Story Circles (basically character arcs) for all my main characters

And hopefully by the time all of that is done, I'll have my groove back in time for Camp NaNoWriMo.

I'll keep you all updated here on my blog. July will also be back to basics here on the blog with a horror 101 series.

My bff and I are starting to get to the serious stuff on our blog "Long Story Short" so check that out too.

Until next time
